Kingston crown court heard that thirteen boxes were held at motorway service station in Kent. Also Patrick Kuster 37 years old, which was from Netherlands, was jailed for 26 years for the supplying heroin conspiracy. He drove this car to the motorway service station, which is in Maidstone, Kent. Here several people were waiting for him to come as they were to meet him and pick up their part of dig consignment of heroin of behalf of their syndicates.

The Head of Russia’s Space agency stated on Wednesday that the country would be considering sending a special spacecraft to the asteroid. The main aim of this spacecraft will be that of averting the collision by diverting the path of the asteroid.

In an interview with the Golos Rossi Radio, Anatoly Perminov from the space agency, stated that the Russian space agency will soon be planning a meeting with the other major space centers like NASA, the Chinese Space agency and the European Space Agency. And the main subject of the meeting will be that of assessing the mission to the asteroid, once it is finalized.

This 270m asteroid was most primarily discovered in the year 2004, and since its discovery it is being studied by the astronomers. The astronomers at that point estimated that the possibility of Apophis striking the earth is as high as 1 in 37 and that it would probably strike in the year 2029. However, with the passing time, this possibility has just lowered.

In the later studies performed on Apophis, the impact due on 2029 was simply ruled out based on the latest data. According to this study it was estimated that the asteroid would not be closing in on earth and thus the chances of the impact was just minimal. Similar results were also produced that mentioned the year of impact to be 2036 and 2068 with possibilities of 1 in 45,000 and 1 in 330,000 respectively.

However the fact cannot be denied that the asteroid is constantly moving closer and is believed to hit our home planet by 2032. Perminov said, “People’s lives are at stake. We should pay several hundred million dollars and build a system that would allow to prevent a collision, rather than sit and wait for it to happen and kill hundreds of thousands of people,”

Adding to this he further stated, “Calculations show that it’s possible to create a special purpose spacecraft within the time we have, which would help avoid the collision without destroying it (the asteroid) and without detonating any nuclear charges,” He thus said that the collision can be successfully averted.

Security breach

Looking for an answer to the catastrophic security breach that occurred on the Dec 25^th in the Detroit based flight, President Barak Obama asked for a detailed explanation of how the situation went out of control.

The US President asked for details that could clear the fog from the topic and also all possible ways that could be implemented to better secure the US skies from such situations in the future. He said that he is waiting for a detailed report on what actually went wrong with the security systems that gave way to this security breach.  He stated, “It’s essential we diagnose the problems quickly.” He further added, “a systemic failure has occurred” which gave way to this “catastrophic breach of security”.

A 23 year old Nigerian, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab passed through all the security checks in Lagos and also Amsterdam and the metal detectors used to check all the passengers, failed to spot the weapon he was carrying. Abdulmutallab, the suspect was carrying a chemical named PETN filled in a syringe and tried to ignite it to give result to his mission. However, he was grabbed and not allowed to ignite the explosive which otherwise would have created a massive explosion mid-air killing the passengers on the Christmas Eve.

Tokyo police said that they have arrested 27 year old Lin Rong because she has entered into Japan one year ago using a false passport and then stayed illegally in the country.

The local media said that previously in 2007 Lin Rong was send back to China for overstaying in the country. But, one year ago she sneaks back to Japan after altering her fingerprints by changing the skin of her index fingers and thumbs through surgery.

Jiji Press news agency and many other major newspapers reported that with the help of surgery she removed her skin patches from the digits of her left and right hands and then recreated them by interchanging the matching digits of her opposite hands.

After arrest lin Rong said to the police that she had paid 100,000 Yuan (i.e. $14,600) to the doctor for changing her fingerprints through the surgery. She has changed her fingerprints to get entry into the country.

This alteration of fingerprints would not be known if she was not been arrested in a false marriage with a Japanese man last month, said the reporters. After she was arrested in a false marriage, police noticed some unnatural scars in her fingers and doubt that she had altered her fingerprints. The police declined to comment about it in detail and asked the investigators to investigate about it.

After that the investigators crosschecks the fingerprints (mainly the fore figure) and databases of all the foreign nationals, who had entered into the country and even the people gone out of the country, in the Japan’s biological information identification system.

From that they came to know that Lin Rong has fooled the biometric security system in the airport and entered into the country with a false passport.

He also said, “We did, I think on March 10, get a report that chemical weapons might have remained disassembled and Saddam hadn’t yet ordered their assembly”.

It was the 26^th Nov last year when India, once again was encircled by the frightening anguish of terrorism. But this time, the epicenter was none other than the age old heritage building of the Taj, which has been a legacy of tradition for the country. The genetics administrators said on Tuesday that the British Police, without any political discussion is known to be arresting people across the country, just to avail their complete DNA profiles. These profiles were further induced into their database system.

According to a report, the Human Genetics Commission in Britain that advises the British government on all small and large issues related to the legal, social or even the ethical aspects related to genetics asked out for the complete review of the created DNA database. It also mentioned that the use of the database should be governed by new laws. The report also said that “function Creep” had simply transformed this probable DNA store into a complete database of all suspect criminals.

Surprisingly, more than three-quarter of the entire newly created DNA print database is inclusive of young black men aged between 18 to 35 years, all having crime tendencies in the past. The database that was initially setup in 1995, today contains the DNA profile of more than five million British people which is nearly about 8% of the entire population of the country. This thus makes this database the biggest DNA database across the globe. Commission chief, Jonathan Montgomery said “Parliament has never formally debated the establishment of the National DNA Database and safeguards around it”. Adding a few lines to this issue, a retired senior cop was found saying “it is now the norm to arrest offenders for everything”, especially the DNA samples.

Another office spokesman commented the database to be a “Vital Crime fighting tool” which helped link up about 410,000 crime scenes through its DNA match system. Another spokesman commented “Research shows no clear link between the levels of offence for which an individual is arrested and the seriousness of any subsequent offence with which they may be associated.”
