Ties between the US and China have been strained over an arms deal with Taiwan. Mr. Obama vowed to ensure countries were not giving their currencies an unfair advantage against the dollar.

Obama said, “The approach that we’re taking is to try to get much tougher about the enforcement of existing rules, putting constant pressure on China and other countries to open up their markets in reciprocal ways.”

“But what I don’t want to do is for us as a country or as a party, to shy away from the prospects of international competition.” Mr. President also said that the foreign exchange rates would be monitored. Furthermore explaining he said, “One of the challenges that we’ve got to address internationally is currency rates and how they match up to make sure that our goods are not artificially inflated in price and their goods are artificially deflated in price,”

Mr. Ma said on Thursday that the value of yuan was at a reasonable level and China was not pursuing a trade surplus with the US.

Mr. Ma said, “At the moment… the level of the yuan is close to reasonable and balanced.” “Accusations and pressure do not help to solve the problem.” On Wednesday Mr. Ma told when he was meeting the Tibetan spiritual leader that President Barrack Obama would further erode ties between Beijing and Washington.

“We urge the US to fully grasp the high sensitivity of the Tibetan issues, to prudently and appropriately deal with related matters, and avoid bringing further damage to China-US relations,” he said. In 1950 China took over Tibet from India, China thinks Dalai Lama a separatist.

He added that the priority of many governments will be undertaking high levels of government debt. And also, recommended that the IMF should raise its growth forecasts for the current year. The IMF is presently predicting the global economy to rise by 3.1% in 2010.

Looking at this the finance minister says that they are contented that the economic development is now to some extent better than it was originally predicted. Also IMF raised the forecast for French of the present year from 1 % to 2% rather than 0.9%.

Also it was interesting to hear the speech of Cameron where, some part of it’s was in Na’vi! Yes the same language which was spoken by the blue-skinned peace-loving alien heroes of his movie “Avatar”. This was invented by a university of Southern California linguistics expert for the film.

Also Avatar stellar showing at the Globes may now see it way for the Oscar, whose nominees are soon to be reveled on February 2.

In this award show, Avatar was expected to face a hard competition from Quentin Tarantino’s “inglourious Basterds”, “up in the Air” and “Precious”, Bigelow’s “The Hurt Locker”. Where, “Up in the Air “was a start for the Sunday as one of the hot favorites along with six nominees.

This man was married and was a father of four children. According to the newspaper reports, this man had already been condemned to a 24 year- last year, but later on, the court appeal has now added another eight years on arguing that the first verdict was a “manifestly inadequate sentence” for a man like him. And it was true as well, for a man like him this type of punishment is just nothing, as he has been regularly abusing an innocent girl in a very harsh way.

Also, the prosecution has successfully argued that this man has committed one of the worst cases of the sexual attack ever! And this type of activity can never be forgiven.

This man had been abusing this girl since she was an eight year old girl by exploiting the trust of the parents of that girl by staying overnight at their apartment. Finally this mistreatment came into light when the girl confided to an aunt in summer 2008.

Also according to the sources, the court said that it was adequate to extend the punishment of that man, after considering the unforgivable, regular and harsh sexual assault of a young and innocent victim.

Worst ice conditions

Talking about news report of Beijing; the north china port, which is one of the world’s largest port  facing worst ice conditions on 30 years on Saturday. And also the icebreaking ships were continuously on the work to keep the path open and clear.  This was the worst condition faced by the china ever!

Also the china central television said that some ships were facing much of trouble in reaching the port at the Tianjin, which is the port of china’s capital Beijing. It is also third largest in country. Also according to footage shown one can make out that the ships on the Bhoi Gulf were continuously working to keep shipping lanes open.

Also a news agency cited marine officials reporting that about 40 people had already been saved from ships danger from ice.

Over the past week, the whole region has been hit badly by its worst winter weather conditions in decades, which also includes Beijing’s coldest morning ever in almost 40 years and its biggest snowfall ever since 1951. Also the temperature conditions in Beijing are forecasted to remain below freezing over next week as well.

Racial violence

Yet another racial violence took place in Australia, a 29-year-old Indian man was being attacked by four men in Essendon Melbourn on Saturday. And according to reports the attackers reportedly poured some unknown fluid over the Indians and set him on fire.

This man suffered 15 percent of burns on his body; on his arms, chest and face and also was admitted to the Alfred hospital; after being attacked shortly before 2 am in Essendon area on Melbourne’s. The local media reported that this man left his wife on a dinner party in Essendon, northwest area of the city around 1:30 am and 2 am and then drove his car to their nearby home in Grice Cresent. Here he dropped his wife at home after which he went to the park his car and here he was attacked.

According to the police he was getting out of the car when suddenly four men came to attack him, pushing him back against his vehicle and poured some fluid over this man and one of the men then ignited the fluid with a lighter and all these attackers run away. This man however run from his car peeling off his clothes and is now in stable condition in the hospital.

This attack was reported just after the recent incident of stabbing death of an Indian graduate Nitin Garg who was just 21 year old in a Yarraville park when he was on his part-time job in a restaurant. This youth was a permanent resident on Australia even then was fatally stabbed in abdomen by some of the unidentified assailants.

After two days a half burt body was found in a town of Griffth, New south Wales in Australia. And this body was identified by Ranjodh Singh. Also this incident is being investigated by the arson and explosives squad.

Burj Khalifa

As we all are aware of the tallest Burj Khalifa in Dubai was out to public recently after which Dubai added another achievement to its repertoire of skyscrapers by launching a 72 floor tower, which was declared as world’s tallest hotel. Isn’t that great; as Dubai is just up to making all this fantastic towers.

The city’s latest landmark was inaugurated by a leading hotel management company. And also this tower is now declared as world’s tallest hotel in Guinness Book world records. This tower, Rrose Rayhaan by Rotana, is a soaring up to 72 floor tower along with offering 482 rooms and 333 meters high. That’s just amazing!

This latest launch came just after two days of much-awaited opening of Burj Dubai, which is renamed as Burj Khalifa also a tallest tower in the world stretching over 800 meters high. Also, Omer Z Kadduouri the Senior Vice President UAE for Rotana said after the launch that not only this Rose Rayahaan is a tallest hotel in the world but also a UAE flagship for Rotana’s Alclhol-free brand Rayhaan Hotels and Resorts, which is going to assist Rotana to positioned its brand   internationally and undoubtedly would maintain Dubai’s positioning amongst other tourism destinations all worldwide.

The construction of this tower began in 2004 and this was designed by Khatib and Alami architectural group, and the developers were Bonyan International Group.  Also according to the news from the sources, Ratana will be operating 11 more hotels in Dubai, with two more scheduled to open within the first quarter of 2010.

Kaddouri said that Rotana currently operates 1,334 rooms just on Sheikh Zayed Road and also operates many more hotels in Dubai itself than any other single operator. This is really a very big achievement for Dubai and is well appreciated also.
