Venezuela makes history by winning the crown for Miss Universe for the second year!
According to the reports, Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez was the one to take home the crown of Miss Universe 2009. She was the only one who took it consistently for the second time; followed by the first runner-up title; which was shared by Miss Australia Rachael Finch and Miss Puerto Rico Mayra Matos Perez and also the title of second runner up won by Miss Kosovo Gona Dragusha.
It would amaze to know that Venezuela has won five Universe title, four miss International crowns more than any other country, five Miss World title as well. This Miss Universe belongs to the origin of Russian, Ukrainian, Galician and polish. Here farther is Carlos Fernandez and mother Krupij Holojad. And also this 18 year old Virgo enjoys her hobbies a lot as in tennis and swimming.
The heartbeats pace up as and when the announcement of top 5 contestants was made by the host of the evening Celebrity Apprentice Star Claudia Jordan and also Access Hollywood co-anchor Billy Bush. The top 5 contestants were:
- Miss Dominican Republic, Ada
- Miss Puerto Rico, Marya Matos Perez
- Miss Kosovo, Gona Drahusha
- Miss Australia, Racheal Finch
- Miss Venezuela, Stefaina Fernandez
There after the sub titles winners were announced such as Miss Congeniality: Wang Jingyao, Miss China and Miss photogenic were announced to be Miss Thailand, Chutima Durongdej.
The stage was all set in the hues of blue and the 84 contestants took the stage in white floral dresses for the initial introduction. There after the girls were to be judged in three categories- swimsuit, evening gown and interview as they strive for the most desirable title.
The pageant was telecasted live from 6:30 am IST on Star world from Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas. The show was all rocking. And at the end show the winners were announced.
