Blast Near Pakistan Police Station

Today in northwest Pakistan, a suicide bomber with his explosive loaded vehicle, rammed into Peshawar police station. In this deadly terrorist attack five people were killed and 20 others were injured till now.

This deadly attack by the terrorist at the Badabher police station was done at morning 7.45 am, said the local residents. A house and the mosque nearby the police station were also affected. They were also reduced to rubble due to this powerful blast. From this rubble five dead bodies were pulled out and 20 other people were injured, said the rescue service officer.

The district administration chief, Shahibzada Anees said that the suicide bomber came in a car from the Khyber Agency direction, and hit the wall between the mosque and the police station. Hitting the wall, the bomb in the car blasted and damages the police station, while the mosque gets collapsed. Due to this blast, a nearby market also gets damaged.

Police cordoned off the whole area to pull out the people from the rubble. Some local residents helped the rescue workers to remove the rubble and pull out the dead bodies and injured people from it. The ambulance took the injured people and the bodies to the hospitals where the injured were taken into emergency ward. The local residents said that even more people might be there under the mosque rubble. Even a person said that he had seen some textbooks and schoolbags lying at the blast sight, so there might be one or two children buried under the rubble.

From past four days this was the fifth attack by the terrorists in Peshawar and in nearby areas.

Yesterday an anti Taliban mayor was attacked by burqa-clad militants in badabher area, but he was successful in escaping from there. While on Saturday, on the outskirts of the city near the police check post, in a suicide car bomber attack 12 people were killed.

On Friday, in Peshawar 2 suicide car bombers hit the headquarters of ISI operational in which 17 people were killed. While on Thursday in the city, a Pakistani employee of Iranian consulate was gunned down.

The hub of the local Taliban considers that after the launching of military operation in South Waziristan last month, the militants have targeted Peshawar.

The Taliban has claimed for the responsibility for most of the attacks occurring in the city except the car bombing in Peshawar market which killed nearly 120 lives.
