Hundreds of people vacate as California braces the storm
Top news from Los Angeles says that hundreds of people or the homeowners were ordered to leave their house in the fire-ravaged area. The reason behind it was California braced for a powerful storm threatening torrential rain. This is an unbelievable thing for the people residing over there.
The storm to hit into the region since Monday and was expected to dump around 10 inches of rain in some of the near areas before tomorrow, raising fears of landslides in hilly areas discard of vegetation by last year’s wildfires.
Also according to the NWS advisory, “Rainfall at these rates could considerably flash flooding, with life-threatening debris flow and mud in and blow the recent burn areas, especially when the grounds are drenched”.
Also the officials of the National Weather Service said that the storms can produce hourly rainfall, those rates of up to 1.5 inches in all the fire-affected areas.
In the view of this, the Authorities today have issued an evacuation orders for around 750 homes situated in Los Angels area which are considered to be threatened by the landslides. Seeing the situation, we feel pity on the homeowners who are asked to just leave their place. Many of them seem to be shattered by this.
Also P Michael Freeman chief of Los Angeles country Fire Department said that residents and public Officials were involved in a race with the Mother Nature. He also commented that “if she wins this race then, there’s no way can we assure that firefighter, as well-equipped and as trained as they are, will be able to get into your area and make rescues”.
And the weather officials yesterday issued a rare warring on tornado as a storm packing of 60 miles per hour battered the region.
